At St. Grace Lasford Schools, we remain committed to nurturing learners who are not only academically strong but also disciplined, confident, and socially responsible. In line with this holistic approach to education, we are pleased to share the continued growth and positive impact of our Active Scouts Club, which was officially introduced last year and has since become a vibrant part of school life.
One of the proudest milestones of this initiative was when our Scouts Club graced the PP2 Class of 2025, creating a memorable and inspiring experience for our youngest learners. Through songs, demonstrations, discipline drills, and values-based interactions, the scouts offered PP2 pupils a glimpse into teamwork, leadership, and service, values that define the scouting movement and align strongly with our school ethos.
The Scouts Club at St. Grace Lasford Schools is fully inclusive, bringing together learners from Grade Three through to the current Grade Six. This inclusivity encourages mentorship, as older learners guide and support younger ones, fostering responsibility, cooperation, and mutual respect across age groups. It also allows learners to grow progressively within the program as they advance through the grades.
Through regular scouting activities, learners are exposed to practical life skills such as self-discipline, time management, environmental conservation, teamwork, and community service. These experiences help build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of civic duty. Our scouts proudly participate in school events, assemblies, and special occasions, adding color, structure, and purpose to our co-curricular programs.
We are especially encouraged by the enthusiasm and commitment shown by our learners, teachers, and parents in supporting the Scouts Club. Their involvement has contributed greatly to the club’s success and sustainability. As we move forward, we look forward to expanding scouting activities, strengthening partnerships, and providing even more opportunities for our learners to grow into responsible, service-oriented citizens.
